Ashlee Simpson’s wedding was a testing time for elder sister Jessica Simpson’s boyfriend, Tony Romo.

Apparently Jessica tested Tony’s commitment and love for her by evaluating his presence at the wedding.

Rumors were abuzz last week that the Dallas Cowboys quarterback, Tony Romo and Jessica Simpson’s relationship was over and they had split amicably.

But a source reveals,  “They’ve broken up a hundred times,

“They’d had another of their ‘breakups’ before the wedding, but it was clear to him that he had to go as Jess’s date if there was any hope that the relationship would work out.”

Lets see how many more times this couple will break up.

All is not well in Jessica’s paradise as her quarterback boyfriend has dumped her. The Dallas Cowboys star apparently had enough of the paparazzi and Jessica’s nagging father, Joe Simpson.

A source said that the relationship between the two is “definitely over” and Romo has “really had” enough of media attention and the relationship as it was affecting his football career.

The source also added that Jessica’s father is irritating him to the core as he’s “not only telling Jessica every move to make, but now has begun to offer unsolicited advice to Tony on his career, endorsement opportunities and things that have nothing to do with him dating Jessica.”

Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo are going through a rough patch in their relationship and they are still not over it yet.

A source close to the couple said, “Every couple has their problems; we’re hoping that they’ll have a break and work it all out.”

A few weeks back Jessica had referred Tony as “her future husband” and according to another source the Dallas Cowboys star, was planning an “intimate dinner for friends and family” to announce his engagement with Jessica.

But the quarterback star is not willing to be tied down too soon and Jessica is eager to become a mom.

Another source said, “Jessica has made no secret of the fact she wants to get married, and with all the Ashlee wedding talk and Jess’ dad’s involvement, Tony was obviously feeling it.”

“I wouldn’t be surprised if he just couldn’t go through with the proposal and that’s what’s caused the break.”

Few days after the shocking news of Jessica Simpson’s split with her 6 month old boyfriend, her representative emerges and says that everything is fine between the couple.

Simpson’s representative said, “Not true, not true. I spoke to Jess yesterday and the day before. They are still together.”

He also added that Tony Romo will be Jessica’s date at younger sister Ashley Simpson’s wedding to Pete Wentz later this week.

The Dallas Cowboys quarterback was recently spotted partying with an unknown blonde. But an insider has dismissed the encounter by adding that the blonde has a boyfriend, “She’s a doll and they did have fun at the club, but nothing happened with Tony,” said the source.

Jessica Simpson’s former eye-candy and ex-husband seems to be extremely happy and madly in love with his girl MTV presenter Vanessa Minnillo… though I wonder if it would be quite a prick in Simpson’s ass when she hears that eventhough she seems equally madly in love with John Mayer.

Nick Lachey, in a bid to make his relationship with official, has Minnillo moved into his two-bedroom Manhattan pad at the weekend.

Apparently, the weather didnt make it easy for the couple as they were shifting. An insider told People magazine:

“Nick carried the huge boxes while Vanessa helped with the small ones. They were soaked.”

Well we didn’t really get to know what happened that night but next morning Mayer boarded a tour bus for a trip to Jacksonville where Mayer is performing.

Hardcore romantics and Mills and Boons fans would say…”Oh My God…How romantic!” when they hear that Jessica Simpson is actually taking secret cookery lessons so that she can cook up a romantic home-cooked dinner for her boyfriend John Mayer at the St.Valentine’s Day.

Sadly, Mayer will be out for work on the actual St.Valentines day, so Jessica has planned a dinner date on Feb 10th itself.

He would definitely be Jess… and see if you can pour in some magic love potion that could make him confirm the romance between you both in public… atleast that would relieve us from wasting time speculating!

Nick Lachey indirectly pointed out to Jessica Simpson when he recently attacked the female population for holding old disagreements to heart instead of forgiving and forgetting men’s mistakes. ( I hope he doesn’t get a feminist conter attack for that statement).

This statement was obviously but indirectly pointing towards Jessica Simpson who still didn’t get over him while he is busy seeing Mtv presenter Vanessa Minnillo. He cited ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reason for their divorce and Jessica Simpson didn’t approve of it… I’m sure she would have worked it out had Lachey given their relationship another chance.

Jessica Simpson had a tough time getting over ex-husband Nick Lachey and it took her longer than Lachey to move on. She is slowly becoming her usual cheerful self, partying and enjoying life thanks to her new pal John Mayer.

The media has been speculating something brewing between the two owing to the amazing chemistry the two share. But Jessica’s friends are afraid that Jessica is getting more serious about Mayer than he is about her.

Mayer’s camp suggest he is not seeing Jessica at all For example, when he went home to spend the recent holidays with his parents in Fairfield, Conn., he never even mentioned his new girlfriend. His parents justify saying that he is “very private” about his love life.

While Jessica’s fans, welcome John Mayer as long as he keeps Simpson happy, Mayer’s fans disapprove saying that Mayer is too talented for starlet Jessica Simpson.
