Seems hard to digest but amidst all those lovey-dovey moments of coochie-cooing with his babe Jessica Simpson, Mayer finds enough time to ponder and brood over issues of Global Warming… quite credible though.

Apparently John Mayer went deep on his blog about an issue that he said has now concerned him for some time. Surprise - it is ‘global warming.’ The talented musician noted that he knews it’s a trendy cause now and divided the global warming factions into two groups. He wrote:

“It seems to me that when it comes to this issue, we’ve been given only two sides to pick from: side one says the future of global warming does not present a doomsday scenario, almost chuckling the matter aside. Side two says it is a dire issue (which it is), and then goes on to inundate side one with so many separate nakedly-scientific points that they make naiveté’ seem cozy by comparison.”
So here I am, introducing a third side. A laid-back, panic free approach to environmentalism. One that believes the message of “An Inconvenient Truth” is sound, but that it’s an incredibly un-fun name for a movie. A side free from the cry of hypocrisy, for it doesn’t make sweeping promises. A side that drives an SUV on the way to the grocery store but then produces nylon mesh bags at the checkout line. A side that believes in bringing a change of perspective to our government but letting (Karl) Rove finish his meal first, he adds.

Whatever it is… it has one him a column space in the tabloids… and if Britney reacts to that violently or otherwise… then a few more days of fame for Mr. Simpson…. meanwhile enjoy the limelight sir!

C.L Gregory, the director of Blood Lake, Vampire Diaries and a slue of other B horror films is currently in final negotiations with Ms. Simpson for his latest project –The Kentucky Fried Horror Show, scheduled to be filmed later this year.

With the growing appeal and success of violent horror films, Gregory is betting that his latest film will give the blood thirsty audience its money’s worth, and Simpson, it seems, is anxious to get on board. “Jessica Simpson is the girl that can become the next horror scream queen.” Gregory said when asked about Simpson.

“I felt that the script needed someone that could carry the weight of its character and without doubt, Jessica was my first and only consideration for the role. She’s never done a horror film to date and we felt she was ready for a project like this as it will be a very emotional and demanding piece of work for her. But I don’t see anyone who can pull it off better than Jessica Simpson.”

When asked about his current film, Gregory remarks, “I wanted to put the grind back into grindhouse” Gregory says of his latest creation. “The movie is simply about a group of college kids on spring break that head to Florida from New York via road trip. Jessica Simpson once they get into Kentucky things change from good to bad when they encounter a murderous southern religious cult that has an appetite for blood letting.” Gregory said. “I’m literally taking my background growing up in the southern Pentecostal movement that brought us the likes of Jim Baker, Jimmy Swaggert, Jim Jones and whose influence, more bad than good, has helped cause the division in our current political climate and nation today.” Gregory says.

A close friend of Jessica says “She told me that she and John were strolling on the beach, and he spun her around, took her in his arms and told her, ‘You know I could get used to this.’”

And Jess, who probably couldn’t believe her ears laughed and told John, “‘if this is a marriage proposal, you can do better than that!’” says the friend. “She said John turned red!”
